The Nerdist's Chris Hardwick Gives the Golden Buzzer to Miracle Child, Angelica Hale on America's Got Talent

America’s Got Talent Guest Judge Chris Hardwick gave the golden buzzer to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Miracle Child, Angelica Hale Tuesday night. As a comedian, actor, musician, writer, producer and host, Hardwick is also part of the Nerdist community, a group of Extra Life supporters that raise funds for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The Nerdist community has teamed up with the Geek & Sundry community to participate in Extra Life, raising more than $100,000 for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Extra Life is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program within the gaming community. Participants fundraise year-round and pledge to game for 24 hours with one goal: to save and improve the lives of sick and injured kids. Funds raised stay local to help pediatric patients at one of 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America.

Angelica is one example of how donations help provide critical treatments and healthcare services for kids. Treated at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Angelica is able to perform and live out her dream of becoming the next Whitney Houston.

Angelica travels the country, using her voice to raise funds and awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Thanks to Hardwick’s golden buzzer, Angelica advances in America’s Got Talent to the live shows.  In her own words, “I want to win so I can help more kids like me.”

Help support Angelica and tune in August 15 at 8/7 Central to vote!
